Tax Certificates

Tax certificates are available upon request. A tax certificate provides certified information about the status of a property tax account, including:

• Amounts currently owing
• Tax Installments
• Local improvement charges
• Any arrears or penalties
• Utility account details ( issued separately)

Fees

The fee for a tax certificate is $50 per certificate. Each certificate includes information for both the property tax account and the utility account. Utility account details are issued separately by Utility Clerk.

How to request and pay

Online form and payment

Make a secure online payment using Visa or Mastercard through our bill payment system powered by Paymentus Corporation.

After completing your payment, please jot down your receipt number as it will be required when you submit the tax certificate request form.

Please note: Paymentus applies a 2.50% service fee to all online payments.

Mail, courier, or in-person delivery

Alternatively, you may submit the original signed request along with a cheque.
Cheques must be made payable to The Municipality of Bluewater and delivered to:

Please note: The Municipality of Bluewater is not responsible for delays caused by mail disruptions or courier service interruptions.

Processing Times

Tax certificates are processed on a first come, first served basis.

Rush service is not available.

Certificates are processed within 14 days from the date payment is received and will be emailed to the address provided on the request form.
