Committees

The Communities in Bloom and Environmental Committee is a committee of Council. The mandate of the Communities in Bloom and Environmental Committee is to:

• To provide guidance and make recommendations to Council on matters related to the Environment.
• Promote environmental awareness.
• Foster civic pride and environmental responsibility through community participation.
• Enhancement green spaces in its communities.
• Discuss new or changing environmental legislation or regulations.
• Research new and relevant environmental issues.

The Committee meets quarterly in-person at the Stanley Complex, 38594 Mill Road, Varna. Agendas are posted to our Council Portal ahead of the meeting.

The Heritage Advisory Committee is a Committee of Council with statutory duties set out by the Ontario Heritage Act. Its volunteer members and Member of Council serve the whole community when they provide advice to Council on changes to designated heritage properties and properties within the Bayfield Heritage Conservation District.
