Thinking About Planting a Tree?
Fall is a great time to plant a tree! Cooler temperatures and increased rainfall help reduce stress on newly planted trees and encourage strong root growth before winter.
Trees are a great way to add shade, support wildlife, improve air quality, and help make our communities greener and more beautiful.
Before you plant, take a few minutes to choose the right location. Consider the tree's mature size and its proximity to buildings, utilities, roads, sidewalks, and driveways. Remember to contact Ontario One Call before digging to locate underground utilities.
Planning to Plant on Municipal Property?
Road allowances, boulevards, parks, and other public lands are municipal property. Tree planting on municipal property requires approval from the Municipality of Bluewater and must comply with the Municipality’s Protection and Enhancement of Trees Policy.
