Notice - Public Meeting

Municipal Class Environmental Assessment for Extension of Bachand Street and Stormwater Outlet:

As part of the Gendron Street and Bachand Street assumption process, the Municipality of Bluewater initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) to investigate impacts associated with constructing an extension of Bachand Street and a new stormwater outlet to the Fourcier Drain.

The road extension is planned to extend Bachand Street westward and then north to Gendron Street.

MCEA:

• A MCEA is required prior to any construction as the project involves constructing a new road in an unopened road allowance
• The MCEA will identify potential environmental impacts and how those impacts could be mitigated.

Public Involvement:

The project team is hosting an on site public meeting to discuss, take feedback, and answer questions about the proposed road extension and stormwater outlet.
