Notice of Public Meeting

Date: Monday, June 16th, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.

Location: A hybrid meeting allowing for both electronic and in-person attendees. In person attendees may attend Council Chambers, Stanley Community Centre, 38594 Mill Rd, Varna, ON N0M 2R0.

Location of the property: Municipal wide, Municipality of Bluewater

Purpose and effect

The Bluewater Official Plan as adopted in 2005 and last updated in 2018. Under Section 26 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, the Municipal Council shall review their Official Plan (OP) every five years to ensure it conforms with the Provincial Planning Statement, the updated Huron County Official Plan, has regard to matters of provincial interest and is consistent with policy statements issued by the Province.

The purpose of the Section 26 meeting is to receive public/agency input on potential revisions to the OP. This initial call for comments is for the required Section 26 meeting, to be held June 16th at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. This meeting is open to the public/agencies. Further public open houses and a public meeting will be scheduled in future to review the proposed policy and mapping changes.

Public Meeting

Any person may attend the special meeting of Council and/or make written or verbal comments about what revisions may be required.
