Council Highlights—September 8

At its Regular Meeting of Council on September 8, 2026, Council of the Municipality of Bluewater:

• Approved the 2025 draft financial statements as presented by Paul Seebach of Seebach & Company, Chartered Professional Accountants.
• Donated 1 hour of non-prime ice time at the Hensall Arena to be used during the 2026- 2027 season, to Huron Hospice as a Silent Auction Item for the No Place Like Home Dinner and Auction taking place on September 26, 2026. An amendment to the budget was approved to fund this donation through the 2026 Facilities operating budget.
• Donated the rental of the Stanley Community Centre Hall as requested by the Christmas in Bayfield Committee as an in-kind donation for the Christmas in Bayfield Gala. An amendment to the budget was approved to fund this donation from the Working Funds.
• Entered into a Community Improvement Grant agreement with Punita Singh regarding 150 Dashwood Main Street.
• Awarded the tender for a new snowblower attachment with loading chute to Huron Tractor in the amount of $29,497.94 excluding HST.
• Executed Lease Agreement OP-4516-H-2612 with the Ministry of Fisheries and Oceans for the federal portion of the Bluewater Marina.
