Council Highlights—September 21

At its Regular Meeting of Council on September 21, 2026, Council of the Municipality of Bluewater:

• Directed staff to apply for the 2026 intake of the Community Emergency Preparedness grant for two mobile road closed trailers and associated pylons and signage.
• Directed Staff to work with the Zurich Environmental Group to prepare a draft agreement for the coordination and administration of the Municipality's Community-Led Tree Planting Program.
• Entered into an agreement with Gracy Freitas for the operation of the concession booth located at the Zurich Arena and Community Centre.
• Entered into a Marina Operating Agreement with CrossCurrent JMP Limited for the operation, management and maintenance of the Bayfield (Bluewater) Marina.
• Directed Staff to contact the Ministry of Transportation requesting a speed review on Highway 21 to evaluate if a speed limit change is warranted to lower the speed limit to 50 km per hour through St. Joseph between Ducharme Beach Road to Sararas Road.
