Council Highlights—June 15

At its Regular Meeting of Council on June 15, 2026, Council of the Municipality of Bluewater:

• Initiated a housekeeping update to the Bluewater Zoning By-law specific to the holding language in the Bayfield Settlement Area. The draft amendment will be circulated for public review under the Planning Act.
• Granted an exemption from the Noise By-law for a private wedding located at 162 Brock Avenue in Hensall on June 27, 2026.
• Awarded BW-RDS-08-2026 being a request for proposal for consulting services for the design of the replacement of bridge structure B76 on Ausable Line to Driven Engineering in the amount of $39,375 excluding HST.
• Entered into a lease renewal agreement with the Bayfield International Croquet Club.
• Entered into a Bayfield Farmers Market License Agreement with the Huron County Farmers’ Market Network for the use of a portion of Clan Gregor Square in Bayfield.
• Approved the request from Bayfield Agricultural Society for the provision of municipal water to fill a paddle boat lagoon ride at the 2026 Bayfield Community Fair with the costs being borne by the municipality.
