Council Highlights—January 12

At its Regular Meeting of Council on January 12, 2026, Council of the Municipality of Bluewater:

• Directed staff to schedule a statutory Public Meeting in March 2026 to obtain public feedback regarding the proposed Official Plan Amendment and that staff are to finalize the second draft of the Official Plan and post online prior to the advertised statutory public meeting.
• Directed the Manager of Facilities to work with Seeds Rooted in Youth to develop an agreement for the use of the grounds at 2 Jane Street, Bayfield for a community garden.
• Directed staff to make available to the public all recordings of Council meetings on the Municipality of Bluewater’s YouTube channel for public viewing, commencing January 2026.
• Appointed Streamline Engineering Inc. as interim Drainage Superintendent.
