Council Highlights—August 11

At its Regular Meeting of Council on August 11, 2025, Council of the Municipality of Bluewater:
- Approved the road closure, exemption from the Hawkers, Peddlers and Buskers By-law, and exemption from the Noise By-law requests for the Albion Hotel Grand Reopening on September 27th, 2025. Council also declared this a municipally significant event.
- Directed Staff to work with Seeds Rooted in developing a draft agreement for use of the land at the Bayfield Cemetery for a Community Garden.
- Directed Staff to apply to the OTF Seed Grant for a Youth Tumbling Program.
- Directed Staff to apply to the Rural Ontario Development fund for the replacement of the fire exit door and stairs at the Hay Town Hall.
- Approved overnight camping in designated areas of municipal property at 24B Zurich Main Street only for the duration of the 2025 Zurich Bean Festival (Thursday, August 21st to Sunday August 24th).
